We are Andy and Sarah, the hosts of Steel Hut and we look forward to welcoming you in this amazing part of the world!
The Steel Hut was an idea hatched on a getaway that has become reality, offering our guests the kind magical escape and relaxation weâd experienced ourselves years ago in a Shepherds Hut Holiday in Northumberland. With a recent move from Newcastle to feed our joy of nature, we found the perfect peaceful spot to begin our adventure. The Steel Hut sits in its own private corner at the bottom of our garden’s small woodland with views over Hadrianâs Wall UNESCO monument the Vallum (it’s an interesting Google), across National Trust farm land towards Peel Crags at Steel Rigg.
Our hut was built with traditional materials and crafts folk here in Northumberland with attention to detail and a touch of luxury. We currently only have one hut but the future holds exciting plans for cold water therapy and hot ideas to pair with forest bathing in the hammocks! So do watch this space as we develop our retreat.
On your arrival we can show you how to build the fires and offer tips on where to visit, then leave you to your peaceful time away undisturbed. We are so proud to have Hadrian’s Wall on our doorstep and imagine you may well say âWOWWWâ at the scenery as much as we do!
